Alla prima plein air watercolor on canvas painting of Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, painted in July, 2025, and posted on social media. Boise Weekly selected the painting to be featured on the cover of the Nov 13-19, 2025, Volume 35, Issue 7. (See website for the published cover). The artist has been going to Cannon Beach and enjoying the wildlife on Haystack Rock since moving West from Virginia to Washington State (1990-2001) and later Idaho (2001-present) and this rock and beach has a great deal of personal significance to her.
