My art career is evolving as I go through life. Like Henri Matisse, I changed my art style and embraced the abstracts with bold color and whimsical elements. I am creating a cohesive group of work with a recognizable style that is mine.
I’ve loved art for as long as I can remember. I studied art all through junior high and high school and college. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. I continue to educate myself on new mediums, techniques and supplies.
I went on to a career in commercial interior design in the Washington DC area for many years. My art branched into graphic art, landscape design and furniture design. My art is in collections all over the United States, in Canada and soon Japan. Art is universal and can be shared through the generations and cultures of our world.
Over the years I volunteered as an art educator and teacher in elementary schools. I also teach classes in my home studio. I am always looking to spread the knowledge of art to others. I believe everyone is an artist!!
StatementI create art that makes the viewer feel joy! My art is designed to be happy and colorful for the purpose of lifting mood and spirits. I love intense color. Life is about color and joy! If used correctly, color heals the body and soul!!
Besides in several US states, I have art in private collections in Japan, Canada, Uganda and England. My work has been seen at Art and Roses, Meridian Fine Arts Festival, Private showings at local businesses and soon the Riverside Gallery (Mar/April 2025) and the St. Al’s Art wall (September 2025).
